They say there are places you pass through, and others that stay with you.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s what this Deriva is about.<\/p>\n
There are moments when the path stops being movement and turns into stillness. Not because you seek it, but because something inside asks you to slow down. <\/p>\n
DL Slow never ceases to surprise me.<\/p>\n
There is so much to discover across its more than 800 kilometres that even I, moving through it from within, keep finding corners I didn\u2019t expect.<\/p>\n
This was one of them.<\/p>\n
I arrived with good references, but without imagining how deeply this place would make me pause. Sometimes we don\u2019t know we need it until we are already there. <\/p>\n
Between Rosell and Vallibona, in the heart of the Els Ports loop<\/a>, stands the hermitage of Santo Domingo.<\/p>\n A place I had overlooked for years, despite being so close, as if it had been waiting for its moment.<\/p>\n And perhaps this was it.<\/p>\n There is something in this place that can\u2019t quite be explained. It\u2019s not just the silence, nor the light, nor the way the landscape opens without imposing itself. It feels more like a quiet sense of retreat, as if time loosens its pace without asking. <\/p>\n From there, a small path begins, descending towards the Cervol river before returning to the starting point. A simple trail, almost discreet, that doesn\u2019t try to take you anywhere in particular. <\/p>\n Just to walk beside you.<\/p>\n They call it the Cam\u00ed del Silenci.<\/p>\n And it doesn\u2019t need much more.<\/p>\n Perhaps that\u2019s why this place lingers. Not for what it offers, but for what it awakens. <\/p>\n I didn\u2019t plan to write about places to stay.<\/p>\n That\u2019s not what Deriva Lenta is about.<\/p>\n But there are exceptions that don\u2019t come from recommendation, but from experience.<\/p>\n This is one of those places you don\u2019t go looking for.<\/p>\n You come across them.<\/p>\n And when it happens, you simply stay a little longer than expected.<\/p>\n Or at least, a part of you does.<\/p>\n Some images of this place found their way into its Visual Story<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
